India is, by any reasonable measure, changing at an astonishing rate, creating enormous challenges for its education system. In July 2009 the Effective Education for Employment team interviewed prominent education thought leaders and innovators in New Delhi, to see how they are responding to these challenges. Participants were asked questions relating to the themes of the Effective Education for Employment project, namely: the disconnect between the demands of employers and the output of our current education systems, the implications of a rapidly globalizing world and what needs to happen to deliver fit for purpose education in the 21st century.
